I've said numerous times only fools believe a Goon. What I DO believe is, true to the definition of a sociopath, they're easily frustrated by no immediate reward, and get bored quickly. Our time honored response to these sorts of people is to wait them out. They wander off soon enough.

If by "interdiction" you're referring to the demonstration against the update that went nowhere, there was a playerbase-wide resistance to that, and it wasn't hard to muster active support. This Burn Jita thing is an ego-gratification device dreamed up by Mitt to prove (mainly to himself) that he and his boyz have a stranglehold on the game, and can exert such momentous influence as to threaten the existence of the game itself. As the premise is delusional, but the holder of the view is so obnoxious, a little pin the tail on the donkey just might be in order.

I don't think it outside the realm of possibility that, in an altered state, he might say something that he thought was funny, which turned out to be offensive to others. It certainly wouldn't be the first time in human history that that has happened.

But of course, you are right and The Mittani is just a secret sociopathic serial killer who let his mask slip when he got drunk. That is the simpler explanation.

What you're saying is likely what he want's.

Who cares what he wants? What he wants is what his minions have been told to say, "wrecks littering Jita..." And, trade coming to a halt. All proficient traders don't have to actually be IN Jita to continue doing business. What he wants can't be done if we don't want it done.
